of breaking in of light
Structure can be tricky, it can contain,
or it can constrict.
There’s this wall of copper pipes around
me, I see them in my house. A crack under construction of water leaking out.
I wonder where God is? Does He
flow within my structure? Did the piping I put in or in the flushing down, did
I block His boundless structure?
The water leak I notice, I hear
the slow drip tap. I can smell the sitting water, a scent I cannot stand.
And then I notice that water
freely flows around my house. I reach and turn for water to quench, to flush,
to clean. My daughter plays in bubbly water and in hot showers I find peace. Water
cleans the mess around me, its boundless flow to keep the clean.
God is always all around me, my
structure fit to keep Him in. He is outside and inside me.
And the crack in the pipe, a breaking
in of Light.
